	ABOUT ROLFS WINE Rolfs is a friendly, full service fine wine shop stocked with hand picked wines at discounted warehouse style prices. Our wines are carefully hand selected from the thousands we taste and evaluate yearly. We pick the best wines for quality and value in all price categories. Rolfs was founded in 1953 by Rolf Engen. Rolf attended UCLA on a basketball scholarship where he played for the great John Wooden. After graduating, Rolf returned to teach at Santa Ana High School, his alma mater. Early in his business career he saw the future of the wine business and has been a highly respected wine merchant and wine educator ever since. Managing Partner Rick Webster started in the wine business at Rolfs in 1968, attending wine classes at the weekly store meetings where he became fascinated with wine. After a stint in the Navy he returned to Rolfs because, as he says, "Wine got into my blood!"
